Move Stock (Classic)

An overview of application used for moving inventory.

Overview

  • Different Search modes (allows a user to choose a way of searching for available Balance IDs).

    • Search Bulk - gives an overall, high-level searching criteria.

    • Search Detail - focuses on already labelled products. Powered by GS1 standard, one might instantly fetch and allocate the Balance IDs.

  • Report Move

    • Move Quantity/Catch Weight/Lot/Container/Inhouse Package to one or many locations.

    • To Container/To Package

      • Create multiple containers/packages at one go.

  • Report Multi-Move

    • Move multiple Balance IDs to one or many locations.

    • Edit the selected Balance ID(s) to adjust the quantitive data to be moved.

  • Support for alternative Units of Measure.

    • Choose to work with alternative U/M which instantly calculates the quantity into standard U/M based on items' conversion factor from M3.

  • Support for Alias Numbers.

  • Embedded Calculator function.

    • Adds/removes instantly scanned labels that counts quantities, catch weights, lot numbers and containers. You may edit scanned values.

  • Report Printing

User Steps

Search Mode

Use the following user step to define the Search Mode you wish to work with.

HEADER/INFO DATA

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Tap on Search Mode check box to select one.

    • Bulk Mode allows you to identify Balance IDs using high-level search criteria.

    • Detail Mode allows you to identify Balance IDs by scanning the existing barcodes.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Default can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Click NEXT button to continue.

  • Click MENU button to get back to the main menu.

Detail

Use Detail mode to quickly identify Balance IDs by scanning the barcodes of the products.

Additional data used for movement, like quantity or catch weight, will be remembered and auto-parsed inside the input fields in the Report screens.

That function is a part of Search Mode screen.

Search Balance ID (Detail)

INFO/HEADER DATA

  • Warehouse / Pick Location (visible when selected)

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Scan inside the Multi-Data field to retrive the correct Balance ID.

    • The input field is equipped with embedded translation engine which retrives multiple values used in the later reporting process.

    • The input field supports Alias Numbers. Make sure a proper configuration in MMS025 Item.Connect Alias Number is secured.

    • Refer to Managing Multiple Data Capture section to understand and configure capturing of the barcoded data.

    • When the scanned record refers to more than one hit, the Select Searched Balance ID screen pops up. Tap one record to add it to the list. Example below depicts a situation where an item number NC-P-MLOT, which is lot-controlled, has been identified in the scanned string. The string, however, does not provide any information about the location nor has it been selected via CHANGE LOCATION option. Thus, the Select Searched Balance ID pops up where the correct Balance ID has to be chosen.

  • Click BACK to get back to Search Mode screen.

  • Click NEXT to get to Select Balance ID screen.

  • Click CHANGE WAREHOUSE to change Warehouse.

    • Tap on Warehouse in the list to select one.

      • List comes from MMS005 Warehouse. Open.

      • Click BACK to get back to Search Balance ID screen without any change.

      • Click NEXT to get back to Search Balance ID screen with a confirmed warehouse change.

  • Click CHANGE LOCATION to set or change Location.

    • Tap on Location in the list to select one.

      • List comes from MMS010 Stock Location. Open.

        • Location IDs and Location Names are used and can be filtered through.

        • Blank is assigned as default.

        • Default can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

        • By assigning the location, user does the search of the scanned Balance ID(s) in that location.

  • Click LIST to get to Select Pick Location

Bulk

Use Bulk mode to retrive the Balance ID(s) using high-level search criteria. None of the input fields are mandatory. It's yet adviseable to use them to narrow down the search result.

That function is a part of Search Mode screen.

Search Balance ID (Bulk)

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Tap on Location drop-down menu to select one.

    • List is seggregated based on MWS068 Balance Identity. Open Toolbox so that only locations with allocatable Balance IDs are shown.

    • Location IDs are used and can be filtered through.

Tap on Item Number drop-down menu to select one.

  • List is seggregated based on MWS068 Balance Identity. Open Toolbox so that only Items with allocatable quantity are shown.

  • Item IDs and Item Names are used and can be filtered through.

Tap on Lot Number drop-down menu to select one.

  • List is seggregated based on MWS068 Balance Identity. Open Toolbox so that only Lot Numbers with allocatable quantity are shown.

  • Lot Numbers are used and can be filtered through.

Tap on Container drop-down menu to select one.

  • List is seggregated based on MWS068 Balance Identity. Open Toolbox so that only Containers with allocatable quantity are shown.

  • Lot Numbers are used and can be filtered through.

  • Click BACK to get back to Search Mode screen.

  • Click NEXT to get to Select Balance ID screen.

  • Click CHANGE WAREHOUSE to change Warehouse.

    • Tap on Warehouse in the list to select one.

      • List comes from MMS005 Warehouse. Open.

      • Click BACK to get back to Search Balance ID screen without any change.

      • Click NEXT to get back to Search Balance ID screen with a confirmed warehouse change.

Select Balance ID

INFO/HEADER DATA

  • Item Number (Item Name)

  • Catch Weight / Scanned Catch Weight (available via Detail Mode)

INPUT DATA

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Scan the Multi-Data field to retrive the correct Balance ID.

    • The input field is equipped with embedded translation engine which retrives multiple values used in the later reporting process.

    • Refer to Managing Multiple Data Capture section to understand and configure capturing of the barcoded data.

    • When the scanned record refers to an unique record, the Report Quantity screen pops up with all identified data. When more than one hit is identified, only identified records remain in the list. Tap on one or more record(s) to proceed with in the reporting step. Picture below shows a container number 312345610511076247 been identified in the scanned string. Since it's an unique value in the list, the record is automatically selected and Reporting step is initiated.

  • Click EDIT to change/add/delete the scanned Balance ID(s) (applicable only for Detail Search).

    • Tap on a record you wish to change.

      • Type in numeric values inside New Catch Weight and/or New Quantity fields.

      • Click DELETE RECORD to remove the record from the list.

    • Click BACK to get back to Select Balance ID screen without saving.

    • Click NEXT to get back to Select Balance ID screen with new values being applied.

Report Quantity

The choice of Report Quantity user step variant is done automatically, based on the M3 item characterstics. The following variants of Report Quantity user steps are available:

  • Report Quantity

  • Lot Number / Report Quantity

  • Lot Number / Catch Weight / Report Quantity / Report Catch Weight

  • Container / Report Quantity

  • Lot Number / Container / Report Quantity

  • Lot Number / Catch Weight / Container / Report Quantity / Report Catch Weight

Example: If an item has the following characteristics:

  • Lot-Control (Lot Control Method: 3-In lot master; Lot Numbering Method: 0-Manual entry)

  • Catch Weight activated (Active or Catch Weight Item: 2-Catch weight item inspected for both receipt and delivery)

The following Info/Input fields will be activated:

  • Lot Number / Catch Weight / Report Quantity / Report Catch Weight

  • Tap on Print Label tickbox to trigger the Report Printing screen after the Report To Location screen.

    • Putaway Label (MWS450PF) will be printed as an output.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Default can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Type in/scan the numeric Catch Weight value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • On-hand Balance Catch Weight can be assigned as default in the global properties on user/app level.

    • When Detail Search is used, the scanned value will override the default as long as it does not equal to 0.

  • Tap on Unit of Measure drop-down menu to select one.

    • Standard U/M that comes from MMS001 Item. Open is assigned as default.

    • Default can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

    • Alternative units of measure come from MMS015 Item. Connect Alternative U/M.

  • Type in/scan the numeric Quantity value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Allocatable On-hand Balance Quantity can be assigned as default in the global properties on user/app level.

    • When Detail Search is used, the scanned value will override the default as long as it does not equal to 0.

  • Click CALCULATOR to trigger calculator function.

    • Scan the multi-data value into Add field to add it instantly to the list.

      • TOTAL record summarizes all the quantitative data.

    • Refer to Managing Multiple Data Capture section to understand and configure capturing of the barcoded data.

    • The input field is equipped with embedded translation engine which retrives multiple values used in the reporting process.

    • Click EDIT to edit the quantitive data of the scanned items.

      • Tap on a record you wish to change.

        • Type in numeric values inside New Catch Weight and/or New Quantity fields.

        • Click DELETE RECORD to remove the record from the list.

      • Click ADD ROW to add a new record.

      • Click BACK to get back to Calculator screen without any changes being saved.

      • Click NEXT to get back to Calculator screen with applied changes.

Report To Container

The Report To Container screen is only activated for container-managed items (Container Management: Methods 1-6)

The screen might be utilized as a way to repack existing Balance ID into (a) new container(s). The creation of a new container is temporarly saved and executed once the Report Location or Report Printing (if activated) is finalized.

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Type in/scan the numeric Catch Weight value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Reported Balance ID Balance Catch Weight can be assigned as default in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Type in/scan the numeric Quantity value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Reported Balance ID Quantity can be assigned as default in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Type in/scan the To Container value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Selected Balance ID Container can be assigned as default in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Click OVERVIEW to check already created containers (active when at least one 'To Container' has been created).

    • You may edit the quantitive data by clicking on a record.

    • Click DELETE ALL to delete newly created containers.

    • Click BACK to get back to Report To Container screen without saving the changes.

    • Click NEXT to get back to Report To Container screen with saved changes.

  • Click BACK to get back to Report Quantity screen.

  • Click NEXT to get to Report To Location screen.

    • If the indicated quantity is less than the quantity from the reported balance ID, the screen will reloop so that the remaining quantity can be packaged. The new container(s) can be checked in Overview.

Report To Package

The Report To Package screen is only activated for container-managed items (Container Management: Method 7)

The screen be utilized as a way to repack existing Balance ID into new one or many inhouse packages. The creation of (a) new, empty package(s) is triggered inside M3 and they are packaged with moved Balance ID(s) once the Report Location or Report Printing (if activated) is finalized.

  • Tap on Package Type drop-down menu to select one.

    • The package types come from MMS050 Packaging. Open

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Defaults can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Type in/scan the To Package value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Selected Balance ID Container can be assigned as default in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Click OVERVIEW to check already created packages (active when at least one 'To Package' has been created).

    • You may edit the quantitive data by clicking on a record.

    • Click DELETE ALL to delete newly created packages.

    • Click BACK to get back to Report To Package screen without saving the changes.

    • Click NEXT to get back to Report To Package screen with saved changes.

  • Click BACK to get back to Report Quantity screen.

  • Click NEXT to get to Report To Location screen.

    • If the indicated quantity is less than the quantity from the reported balance ID, the screen will reloop so that the remaining quantity can be packaged. The new package(s) can be checked in Overview.

Report Multi Move

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Tap on Print Label tickbox to trigger the Report Printing screen after the Report To Location screen.

    • Putaway Label (MWS450PF) will be printed as an output.

    • Default can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Tap on a record in the Select Balance ID list to edit the quantitive data via EDIT option.

    • There's no need to tap on any record to proceed with the movement report. All listed Balance ID(s) will be moved.

  • Click EDIT to get to Report Quantity screen of the respective Balance ID.

  • Click BACK to get back to Select Balance ID screen.

  • Click NEXT to get to Report To Location screen.

Report To Location

INFO/HEADER DATA

  • Selected Balance ID

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Tap on Selected Balance ID list to select the line(s)

    • Single or multi selection is available. With multi-selection, the selected Balance IDs will be moved to the same location.

    • Yellow dot indicates that no location has been assigned to a Balance ID.

    • Green dot indicates that location has been assigned to a Balance ID.

    • If no Balance ID(s) is/are selected from the list, entire list will be moved to one indicated location.

  • Type in/scan the To Location value.

  • Click LIST to trigger the list of available locations.

    • List comes from MMS010 Stock Location. Open.

    • Location IDs are used and can be filtered through.

  • Click BACK to get back to the previous Reporting screen.

  • Click NEXT to report the movement.

    • If you have an activated Confirm user step, you might preview the newly formed Balance IDs before being moved.

    • If Print Label has been triggered, the movement report will happen after the printing report in Report Printing step.

    • If there are more lines to move, You are redirected to the Select Balance ID screen to continue reporting the remaining quantity of the reported Balance ID and/or new Balance ID(s). Otherwise, you are directed to the Main Menu.

Report Printing

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Tap on Printer drop-down box to select one.

    • The printers come from CRS290 Printer. Open.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Defaults can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

    • Printer ID and Printer Name can be filtered through.

  • Type in/scan Number of Labels value.

    • Blank is assigned as default.

    • Defaults can be changed in the global properties on user/app level.

  • Type in/scan Quantity per Label value.

  • Click BACK to get back to Report To Location screen.

  • Click NEXT to print the label.

    • If you have an activated Confirm user step, you might preview the newly formed Balance IDs before being moved.

    • If there are more lines to move, You are redirected to the Select Balance ID screen to continue reporting the remaining quantity of the reported Balance ID and/or new Balance ID(s). Otherwise, you are directed to the Main Menu.

Confirm

INFO/HEADER DATA

FUNCTIONALITY

  • Click BACK to get back to a Report To Location screen.

  • Click SAVE to run a selected transaction.

    • The application comes back with approve message that the Balance ID has been moved (and optionally printed).

    • If there are more lines to move, You are redirected to the Select Balance ID screen to continue reporting the remaining quantity of the reported Balance ID and/or new Balance ID(s). Otherwise, you are directed to the Main Menu.
