Approve executed operations

General

The user can approved the executed operations with time spent on each labor and machine time and report the executable quantity for the next operation. If the operation is the last one the receiving of finished parts to the inventory can be done.

Functionality

Pre Requisites

  • The shop order operation must be in at least the Released status.

  • If the Milestone Operation check box is selected for a preceding operation on the same shop order it must be reported before a succeeding operation can be reported.

  • If the Over Reporting list is set to Not Allowed on the Inventory Part/Manufacturing tab, the sum of the reported quantity complete and scrap must be equal to, or less than the planned operation quantity plus the defined over-report tolerance.

  • To be able to add an operation result to the time card of an employee, the reporting mode must be Employee for the site set as primary in Shop Floor Employee per Site.

Report and Approve Operations

  • Select an operation that is not in status closed, preliminary press the Approve Op button either from the operation pannel or from the larger buttons from the Portal

  • When using the mobile app, the Approve Operation workflow will list the ongoing operations.

  • The user can select an operation either by scanning the OP ID or entering the OP ID

  • Use also has the functionality to enter the shop order ID and select from the operations available for that shop order

  • The approve operation dialog box will open and the details will be shown regarding the operation.

  • Completed operation quantities are entered in the Qty to Report field.

  • The operation will be closed when the Close Operation check box is selected.

  • By selecting the Report Previous Operations check box, previous operations will be reported up to the level reported on the current operation excluding operations set to parallel with the current operation.

If employee qualification requirements exist in one or more previous operations, and the qualification check for the site is mandatory, then users are not allowed to report previous operations.

  • If no activity is ongoing on the operation, time can be manually registered by selecting the Report Time check box and entering the time to be reported manually. If the site is run in Employee Reporting Mode, the labor time can be booked on one or several employees by selecting the Register Time for Employees check box and entering the employees in the table.

  • In the Operation Report area, enter the quantity to report as complete in the Qty to Report field. If you want to enter the quantity to report in an alternative unit of measure, click the Input UoM option.

  • If the operation is not the last operation to report, the below details are shown with the user inputs.

  • In the Operation Time section, enter the time to report in the Mach Setup to Rpt, Labor Setup to Rpt, Mach to Rpt, and Labor to Rpt fields.

Last Operation and Receive Shop Order

Receive Non Serial Part

  • If the operation is the last one on the order, parts can be received into inventory. In addition to the fields presented above, the fields in the following image should also be available.

  • It is also possible to define additional parameters by opening the Receive Parameters dialog box. You can define W/D/R No, Condition Code, Expiration Date, Availability Control ID, and Catch Quantity when applicable to the part to be received.

  • It is necessary to differentiate the receiving stocks using a unique W/D/R number when you receive parts with either an Expiration Date or Availability Control ID.

  • Quantities can be reported using an alternative unit of measure by clicking the Input UoM option from the Qty to Report or Qty to Receive fields.

Receive Serial/Lot Tracked Parts

If the shop order order is created for Serial or Lot Tracked parts each of the serial or lots can be received as well by providing the desired parameters.
