Report Downtime

Report Downtime for work centers and work resources against operations

General

This workflow helps the shop floor user to report when there is any production downtime due to reasons like machine breakdown, material shortage, etc. while doing the production or setup. The user can report when the operations are up and running again so that the system can capture the reason and the time spent on the downtime.

Functionality

Pre Requisites

  • A downtime cause must have been entered in the Downtime Causes window.

  • A valid work center resource in an internal work center must exist.

Start Downtime

  • Select the smaller Downtime button above the operation pane or select the larger Downtime button on the left side of the Portal.

  • Use the Downtime workflow in the Mobile app.

  • A dialog box will open with the option to start downtime in the portal.

  • In the mobile app, the user would get the fields to select data inputs.

  • The work center is automatically fetched if an operation is selected otherwise the user can enter the work center manually.

  • In the Downtime Cause field, use List of Values to choose an available downtime cause.

  • In the Work Center field, use the List of Values to select the work center on which the downtime should be registered. You can select from any of the work centers valid for the filter currently entered in the Shop Floor Reporting header section.

  • In the Resource field, use the List of Values to select the work center resource on which the downtime should be registered.

  • Optionally, enter a note in the Clocking Note field.

  • Once the downtime is started it is transacted in IFS as well.

When no Operation is selected and the Downtime button is pressed it will show the running downtimes. If an operation is selected it will show if there is a downtime running for the work center on which that operation is running.

Stop Downtime

  • A downtime clocking must have been started for at least one of the work center resources filtered in the Shop Floor Reporting header.

  • Current ongoing downtimes will be listed in the dialog box.

  • The drop-down will show the time results, start time, downtime cause, and the clocking note.

  • Users can select the desired lines and press the stop downtime.

The user has the option to stop the ongoing downtime or to start a new downtime.
