Report Start and Stop Times of Setup and Production of Operations

General

This workflow helps shop floor worker input when the user starts setup or production of the operation and stops the setup or production so that the system captures the machine and labor time it took for the production or the setup process. This workflow also captures any interruptions.

Functionality

Pre-Requisites

  • The status of the operation is not Planned or Closed.

  • The status of the shop order should not be Parked.

  • To start labor time, a labor class must be connected to the operation in the Shop Order window.

  • To start machine time, a valid resource must exist in the work center.

  • If Reporting Mode has been set to Employee Reporting on the used site, at least one Employee must be entered in order to report labor time.

  • If an employee qualification requirement exists for the operation, and the qualification check for the site is mandatory, then the reporting employee(s) must have those qualifications.

  • To report from time clock, the employee should be a time clock user. When reporting as a team, all the employees in the team should be time clock users.

  • If the employee has a valid work schedule for time and attendance reporting, the employee must be clocked in for the day.

Start Setup or Production

  • In the Shop Floor Reporting portal, select an operation from the operation pane. Select the start/Stop button from the button pane on the top of the operations or use the larger buttons.

  • In the mobile application, the user can search the operations by scanning the OP ID no or entering it manually. Also, there is the possibility to enter shop order no and then select the operation in that shop order.

  • In Portal, a dialog box will open with the details such as whether the operation has Machine Time, Labor Time, Machine Setup Time, and Labor Setup Time with the checkboxes. The mobile application will proceed similarly.

  • The logged-in employee will be added to the Employees table and the user has the possibility to add new employees and the start time and date will be shown.

  • The user has the option to start either setup or Production.

  • If the employee is already running other operations an information message would show up asking whether to replace the running operation to start another.

  • The status of the operation will be changed to Setup Started or In Process and it will be shown in the header Operation Status KPI card.

The system automatically understands the status of the operation and provides the next options.

Stop Setup or Production

  • In the Shop Floor Reporting portal select an operation from the operation pane. Select the start/Stop button from the button pane on the top of the operations or use the larger buttons.

  • Depending on the status of the operation the system will automatically understand whether to stop setup or production.

  • If the ongoing operation is status Setup, the options such as Stop Setup or Stop Setup & Start Prod will be there. Stop Setup will simply record the stop time and the reason. Stop Setup & Start Prod will start the production in additionally.

  • Depending on the selection the status will be changed to either Setup Completed to Production Started.

  • If the ongoing operation is in status In Process, the system will provide the option to stop the operation and enter the stop reason.

  • The spent time on the machine and labor will be shown with the start and stop date and time.

  • Employees involved in the operation are shown with the employee time.

  • The user will have the function to stop the operation.

When the setup is running the user has two options: stop setup or stop setup and start production.
