# Create Automation

To create a new Automation, you can follow these quick steps:

* Navigate to or create an [Application Package](/flow-connect/working-with-connect/create-and-design/application-packages.md) within Novacura Connect Hub.
* Select "New" and then select Create Automation as highlighted. Alternatively, click "Create a New Automation" if you do not have any current Automations within the Application Package.

* You can now enter a name for the Automation and an optional description.
* Choose an Asset. (Non-interactive componant)
* Select Save.

You can now see the Automation listed within the application package.  Hover over the Automation to be presented with the context menu.

* Clicking on the Automation tab will display the Settings screen.

You have now created your first Automation. You can deploy the automation using the [Deployment](/flow-connect/working-with-connect/deploy.md) process.
