# Send Email

Use the email connector to send emails in from your flow app.

## Configuration values

| **From Address**            | From mail address for the emails sent from this connector. This value can be overridden in in the runtime by providing a different from address in the machine step                                                                                                                                                                                                                         |
| **Security Type**           | <p>Security type defines how the connection to the SMTP server is encrypted. </p><ul><li><strong>None</strong> - No encryption</li><li><strong>SSL</strong> (Secure Socket Layer) - Uses SSL as the encryption protocol</li><li><strong>TLS</strong> (Transport Layer Security) - Uses TLS as the encryption protocol</li></ul><p>It is recommend to use TLS as the encryption protocol</p> |
