Base Charts provide foundational chart types like line, bar, and column charts for visualizing data trends and comparisons. These charts help display data patterns and relationships with essential features such as axes, labels, and legends.

In the data source column, you can change column names and set their types. Click Manage to access a grid view of the configuration.
Chart type: Select the type of chart the portlet will use.
Show tooltip: This enables tooltips to appear when hovering over data points on the chart.
Show legend: This enables the legend to be displayed on the chart.
Category Column: Use the drop-down menu to select the category that the chart should display. This will appear on the y-axis.
Click Add to configure the data series.
Name: The name of the series, which will appear in the legend.
Field Column: The dataset to be displayed.
Color: Click to select the color for the series.
