Link
The Link portlet allows users to launch Apps and Components, navigate between portal pages, and access external URLs, providing quick access to tools and resources both within and outside the portal.
General
General data is required for all portlets, see General.
Events
The Link portlet can receive events from other portlets but cannot send events to other portlets. See Events for more information.
Data
Sections
Click the Add button to add a new section. Multiple sections can be added and a section can be removed by clicking the delete icon.
Title: the text which will be shown as the title of the section
Layout
Select if the section layout should be Horizontal or Vertical
Enablement Rule
Use enablement rules to specify when the links in a section should be enabled or disabled.
Always: The links will always be enabled
Data present: The links will become active when an event is received from another portlet.
Comparison check: The data sent in events is used to set a condition for when the links should be enabled.
Type column names from filters to compare: Manually enter the column name from the event that will be used in the condition.
Select the condition in the dropdown list and enter the Value when applicable
Items
Click Add to add a new item in the section. A section can contain multiple items.
Type: select the link item type
App or Component - start an app or run a component in the app client.
Select an App or Component: Choose the app or component to connect to the link.
Display as: This text will be the name shown to the end user for the app or component.
Presentation: Select the UI style for the app or component: Tile, Button, or Link.
External URL - open a link to another website.
Designated URL: Enter the URL to which the link should navigate.
Display as: The text that will be shown to the end user for the URL.
Portal page - navigate to a different
Select a Page: Choose the portal page to which the link should navigate.
Display as: The text that will be shown to the end user for the page.
