# PowerShell

Use the PowerShell connector to run pre-registered PowerShell scripts directly from your workflows. It enables you to execute pre-approved scripts on the Edge Service agent, pass Flow values in as script parameters, and return structured output back to your flow, allowing seamless automation of system, file, and integration tasks.

## Managing Connector : Add, Edit, or Delete

Follow the [steps in the link](https://docs.novacura.com/flow-connect/working-with-connect/connect-to-systems/managing-connector) as a guideline for connector actions: Add, Edit, and Delete.

## Configuration values

| Configuration              | Description                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| -------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Agent Group** | Specifies the agent group on which the connector will be executed. |
| **Root Path** | The file system path on the agent under which all registered scripts live. Every `scriptName` is resolved relative to this path and must stay within it. Required. |
| **Execution Timeout (ms)** | The maximum time a single script may run before it is cancelled, in milliseconds. Default: `30000` (30 seconds). |
| **Max Memory (MB)** | The memory ceiling for the script worker process, in megabytes. Must be at least `128`. Default: `512`. |
| **Allowed Scripts** | The PowerShell scripts to make available; the connector will only run those. Each entry is a **Script** file plus its **Relative Path** - pick a file, then pick again to add another entry. Required. |
| ⤷ **Scripts**              | Select a single PowerShell script file (`.ps1`). Required.                                                                                                                                             |
| ⤷ **Relative Path** | The location, relative to **Root Path**, where the selected script is resolved/placed. Optional. |

## Operations

| Operation                                                                                                      | Description                                                                                                                                                     |
| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [execute](https://docs.novacura.com/flow-connect/reference/reference/flowscript/walkthrough/powershell-module) | Runs a registered PowerShell script on the agent and returns its output as text. You choose the script by name and can optionally pass in values for it to use. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.novacura.com/flow-connect/working-with-connect/connect-to-systems/connectors/powershell.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
